The Executive Cyber Council (The Council) is an initiative of the 2023-2030 Australian Cyber Security Strategy.
The Council meets biannually and brings government and industry leaders together to share strategic insights, exchange threat intelligence to address emerging challenges and to support the delivery of national cyber security priorities. These priorities include initiatives driven under the Australian Government’s Cyber Security Strategy Action Plans.
The Minister for Cyber Security appoints council members. These members are at an executive level or are a recognised expert in cyber security. Representation includes a broad cross-section of the economy to facilitate diverse perspectives and advice.
