Who we are

The National Office of Cyber Security (NOCS) supports the National Cyber Security Coordinator (the Coordinator). We work closely with industry and critical infrastructure operators to build a cyber-resilient Australia.

The Coordinator and the NOCS oversee efforts to ensure:

  • Australians are better protected from cyber threats
  • business and critical infrastructure entities are cyber resilient
  • the consequences of major cyber incidents are managed and mitigated effectively
  • delivery of the Australian Government’s mission to make Australia one of the most cyber secure nations in the world by 2030.

The NOCS is a central touchpoint for impacted organisations experiencing a significant cyber incident. The NOCS works collaboratively to coordinate consequence management efforts in response to a cyber security incident across:

  • Australian Government stakeholders
  • state and territory governments
  • industry.
